Crimson Device Set Up

Congratulations on starting your BCI journey with your Crimson Devices! Crimson headbands use special metallic conductors which will detect small electrical signals on your scalp that come from your brain. This device also uses Bluetooth to communicate with your computer. In order to make the best use of this tech, we will need learn how to set up this system for the first time and a few tips and tricks to keep it running.

Time and Resource Commitment:

  • First time setup and learning to use your materials will take approximately 10 minutes.  Afterwards, setting up your device for each use will take less than 30 seconds.
  • You will need to have one computer capable of accessing the internet with a Chrome browser.
  • You will need to have one fully charged Crimson device. Charging instructions are provided in the below setup video.
  • You will need to work through a NeuroMaker BCI web app, so please ensure that your institution’s firewall allows access.
